sourdough bread
about 3/4-inch (2 cm) thick, toasted

clove
garlic
halved
1
ripe heirloom tomato
slices
1
cup
smooth ricotta cheese
1/4

extra virgin olive oil

each coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper (approx.)

sprigs basil
Instructions
Rub cut side of garlic clove all over toasted bread. Top is tomato slices.
Smear ricotta over tomatoes. Drizzle with olive oil.
Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with basil leaves.
Notes
Tip: Change things up based on what ingredients are in season and on-hand. Try burrata with figs and honey or brie with peaches and maple syrup.
