Ginger Match Latte with Mint

Lattes often feel like an indulgence because of the rich milks, flavoured syrups, added sweeteners and fancy garnishes but this latte is made with uber wholesome ingredients and still tastes like a treat.

Match powder and dairy-free almond milk create a velvety texture and is accented with bright lemon, fresh mint and spicy ginger to create a specialty experience. The best part is, no special talents required to prepare this barista-inspired beverage!

Ginger Match Latte with Mint

A warm and luscious cup of green tea is accented with fresh ingredients best known for their healing powers and their ability to boost the immune system and aid in digestion.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 mint leaves
  • 3 slices ginger
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup almond milk steaming
  • 2 tsp good quality matcha powder
  • 2 slices lemon
  • Honey to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place mint and ginger in a tea pot or large measuring cup. Pour in boiling water. Cover and steep for 5 minutes.
  • Pour steaming hot almond milk over matcha powder. Whisk vigorously until smooth and frothy. Pour into tea pot.
  • Place a lemon slice in each tea cup. Pour tea into cups. Sweeten with honey, to taste.
